James Sabatino, A former associate of Sean "Diddy" Combs filed a lawsuit from prison claiming Diddy owes him more than $19 million for music recorded by The Notorious B.I.G. in the mid-nineties...
James said he flew B.I.G. to Miami in 1994 to perform a show and record some music and he says it was understood that since he paid for Big's expenses and studio time, the material recorded there belonged to him, although a contract was never signed to that effect. After Biggie was killed Diddy agreed to buy the songs and video footage from James for $200,000.00. P paid $25,000.00 but didn't pay the rest because James was later named as a person of interest in the Biggie's murder case, because he was supposed to meet Biggie the night of the shooting, but never showed up. He was later sent to prison on unrelated charges.
