Turns out the statement was part of a stunt to introduce Kanye's new track Ye vs The People...
Last night Kanye released Ye vs The People with T.I. rapping the part of 'the people.'
Later after fans called T.I. out for participating in the stunt he just Kanye-shrugged it off.
