This week Donald Trump Tweeted he should have left three basketball players for UCLA jailed in China because LiAngelo Ball's father Lavar Ball refused to say thank you [click here if you missed that].
Lavar digs in his heels...
Lavar Ball tells CNN,
"It wasn't like he was in the U.S. and said, "OK there's three kids in China I need to go over there and get them. That wasn't the thought process. What we're talking about right now is a lot a stuff about my son because my son last name is Ball. We not even talking about the other two."
"I don't have to go around saying thank you to everybody. He didn't call me. I didn't shake his hand...I'm just saying, I have to know what someone is doing before I say thank you. I'm not just going around saying 'thank you.' If you come around and meet me and my son and say, 'Let me help you out,' lets do it that way."
"I would have said thank you if he would have put [my son] on his plane and took him home....There's a lot of room on that plane."
Chris Cuomo to LaVar Ball "Why would you take shot at Trump when he helped your son get out of jail in China? " "Do you think you're being respectful to the President of the United States? pic.twitter.com/XNl0GFUl0w— gifdsports (@gifdsports) November 21, 2017
