On the heels of reports that the duo were engaged and firming up details to tie the knot, recent photos emerged of Jamie holding hands with a mystery blonde at a Miami hotel. Hurt and angry, Katie demanded an explanation – and that led Jamie to rush to Toronto on July 7, claims a source for a secret meeting with his injured lover to repair the damage.
An eyewitness at the restaurant reports: “Katie was very serious, not smiling. She was giving Jamie an earful, and he just hung his head and sighed. It seemed really tense between them.”
“Katie decided to press the pause button on their wedding plans. That’s how troubling the incident was to her. As it turns out, it was heartbreaking for Jamie too.”[August 1 print edition]
