Last week Memphis Grizzlies Matt Barnes reiterated his dislike for NY Knicks coach Derek Fisher after their brawl in October over Matt's ex-wife Gloria Govan [click here if you missed that].
Now Matt has to put his money where his mouth is...
After telling several local media outlets,
"Violence is never the answer, but sometimes it is. And unfortunately, it happened. I don't regret it."The NBA slapped Matt with a $35k fine explaining,
"His words are unacceptable and entirely inconsistent with the core principles of this game and the NBA."
