Taye Diggs stars as Hedwig Robinson an East German gay would-be rock star who survives a botched vaginoplasty performed so he can marry an American man to escape East Germany, only to get dumped a few months later.
Taye stars in 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' for a limited 12-week engagement at the Belasco Theatre in New York starting July 22.
