Earlier this week were there were rumblings that Tyrese's premature bragging about Dr. Dre's deal with Apple had possibly put the deal in jeopardy [click here if you missed that].
Looks like Tyrese is in the clear…
Apple and Beats by Dre made it official yesterday announcing their deal to purchase Beats by Dre for 2.6 billion and 400 million in Apple stock.
Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, who recently stepped down as head of Interscope, will join Apple in an unnamed capacity.
Apple CEO Tim Cook says of the deal,
"We have known these guys forever. We've dated, we've gone steady and now we are getting married. This relationship started a decade ago, so we know there is an incredible cultural fit. These two guys have a very rare set of skills. It's like finding a particular grain of sand on the beach. It's that rare."This is the largest acquisition in Apple's history.
