There's like the weirdest beef in hip hop going on right now. Common just came for Drake's neck and everybody thinks it's because Drake went out on a few dates with Common's ex Serena Williams...
On Common's new cd 'The Dreamer | The Believer' there's this one track called 'Sweet' where Comm takes in an obvious jab at Drake spitting,
"Some hoes ass n****s, singing all around me man / La la la, you ain't muthaf***ing Frank Sinatra / Uh, lil bitch, yeah, this the raw right here / Yeah this the raw right here n**** / Sweet muthaf***as, sweet ass bitch muthaf***a,"So fast forward to Power 106's Cali Christmas concert in Los Angeles over the weekend where Drake finished his set by telling the crowd,
“I will never stop doing this for ya’ll. I don’t give a f*ck if you have something to say to me. Say it to my muthaf*ckin’ face. Just cause I sing don’t make me no b-tch.”
Common later acknowledges he's talking about Drake telling Sway on Shade 45,
"I guess that's how he felt. So yea, at the end of the day, he fit in that category. He already embraced it, so wear it."
